Ultimate Frisbee and Picnicking
in Sunken Gardens Park, Denver
On Saturday, August 30, we will be picnicking and playing Ultimate Frisbee in Sunken Gardens Park from 11-2 before we head off to the rehearsal. Feel free to join the game or to just enjoy the company. Pack a lunch, bring lots of water, sunscreen, shoes to run in, and come join us!
Directions to Sunken Gardens Park: Sunken Gardens Park is in front of West High School in central Denver, just blocks from Amanda's house. It is bordered by 8th Avenue, Speer Boulevard, and Elati Street. We will be closer to West High School than 8th Avenue. You are welcome to park at West High School; enter West's parking lot from 11th and Elati, heading south on Elati at the crazy intersection.
From I-25 and 6th Avenue, go east on 6th Avenue and take a left on Delaware. The park is directly in front o f you, and we will be at the furthest end of it, in the actual sunken gardens.

Sunday, August 31
Worship Service
at Bethany Lutheran Church
We will be attending church Sunday morning, August 31, at Bethany Lutheran Church in south Denver. You are more than welcome to join us at the 9:00 church service.
Directions to Bethany Lutheran Church
4500 East Hampden Avenue
Cherry Hills Village, CO 80113:
Bethany is on the south side of Hampden Avenue between Colorado Boulevard and Happy Canyon Road. There is plenty of parking at the church but it can get a little crazy-busy, so leave yourself some time! From Highway 285/Hampden & Colorado, take Hampden east a few blocks and take a right before or after the adobe-colored church into its parking lots.

General Denver Directions:
We love Denver and consider it one of the simplest places to get around once you know the grid. We encourage you all to find a good map and work your way around town, but if you want the simple version for southern and southwestern Denver, use the little map that Amanda made -- it is SO not to scale!
